Dutch Style Red Cabbage

An old Kunde family recipe.

Dutch Style Red Cabbage

Dutch Style Red Cabbage Honey (Catherine) Kunde as told to daughter-in-law Jane Kunde

1 head red cabbage, chopped very fine
15 apples peeled, cored and chopped
1 stick of butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp. grated onion
Cinnamon to taste (be generous)

Steam all the ingredients in a big pot until nice and tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
