Winemaking Facility & Aging Caves

Entrance to Kunde Winery barrel aging cavesThe Kunde Family Winery is a symbol of the past and a nod to the future, proudly bearing the estate’s century-old Bonded Winery Number 202. Artfully designed and built in collaboration with the Sonoma County Historical Society, this 17,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility replicates the original Kinneybrook Ranch cattle barn, which stood as an estate landmark for over 100 years.

Tucked into a steep hillside just behind the winery, over 32,000 square feet of wine caves tunnel through 5 million year old volcanic lava flows. Our wine caves are ideal for aging premium wines, with year-round temperatures of 60 degrees Fahrenheit and a natural humidity of 72-74%, which decreases evaporation of wine from the barrels.
