Leslie's Wine Cake

This was one of my Mom’s favorite go-to desserts when time was limited and guests were on their way. A simple sweet treat! Even better with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Leslie's Wine CakeIngredients:
  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix 
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 4 eggs  
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup dry sherry  
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Powdered sugar 
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients, except for the powdered sugar. Mix with electric mixer for 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into greased bundt cake pan. Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until tested done and toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for about 5 minutes before turning out on rack. Once cool, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.  Serves 8-10.
