Guacamole with a Kick


3 large avocados ‒ peeled and seeded
1 sweet yellow onion ‒ finely chopped
1 generous handful of fresh cilantro ‒ finely chopped
2 medium vine-ripened tomatoes ‒ chopped
4 oz can diced jalapeño peppers ‒ mild or hot depending on your spice preference
Juice of 1 lemon
1-2 tsp sriracha chili sauce
1/2 tsp kosher salt


In a large bowl, place the avocado pulp and mash with a potato masher.  Add the onion, cilantro, tomatoes, jalapeño, lemon juice, sriracha sauce, and salt.  Mix well.  Add additional salt if needed.   Serve with your favorite tortilla chips, chilled Chardonnay or fresh margaritas.
