Marinated Strawberries Divine


1/2 bottle Syrah
1/2 cup sugar
3 baskets fresh strawberries – sliced
Vanilla ice cream
Sprigs of fresh mint leaves


Mix wine and sugar together until sugar is dissolved. Stir in sliced strawberries. Let marinate for a minimum of 3 hours but if time allows, overnight is best.

Place a large scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bottom of a large bowl or glass. Spoon the strawberry/wine mixture over the top and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. Serves 4.
