Marinated Strawberries Divine
This dessert is so decadent and refreshing at the same time. It's a beautiful presentation especially in a pretty wine glass.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 bottle Syrah
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 baskets fresh strawberries - sliced
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Sprigs of fresh mint leaves
Preparation:
Mix wine and sugar together until sugar is dissolved. Stir in sliced strawberries. Let marinate for a minimum of 3 hours but if time allows, overnight is best.
Place a large scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bottom of a large bowl or glass. Spoon the strawberry/wine mixture over the top and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. Serves 4.
