We created the 1904 Dessert Cuveé to commemorate the orignal purhase date of the Kunde Estate in 1904, then known as Wildwood Vineyards, by family patriarch Louis Kunde. This delightful port styled wine shows off aromas of caramel, ripe raspberry fruit, sage and Christmas spice that meld into a velvety confection of ripe cherry and raspberry flavors with vanilla cream undertones.
Winemaker’s Comments: “We have crafted this cuveé as a non-vintage wine so that we have the freedom to combine a little bit of the present vintage with some of our wines from the past. The resulting blend is meant to be slightly less sweet than many other ports. This velvety-textured, full flavored wine will pair wonderfully with fresh fruit crisps, a multitude of chocolate delights or as an aperitif enjoyed simply on its own.”
